BUT FIRST YOGA. Today, today, today…. I woke up to an email from my office manager in our practice with a list of 3 action items that needed attention. These weren’t on my day planner and none of them were lighting up my life. I felt that sink in the stomach followed by the stir in the head. Why can’t I ever get this all together and when do things turn to “smooth sailing” again? I needed to get my feet grounded and gain perspective, but I wasn’t sure I had the time. I took a cue from music producer Russel Simmons and headed to yoga. If you knew me, this is progress. Putting yoga at the top of my list has always been a priority, true, but usually I can’t enjoy myself until all the essentials are done. Guess what? They never are done. I walked into yoga and started on the hot sweaty effort to find my center again. Again and again and again. This is the path. Well, I walked out with the usual shift in perspective, got on the horn and worked through the list, but from a much better place. I feel blessed to have found this practice and would love sharing it with you. Here’s a video of the class with my beloved teacher Nora Jean. She walks the talk you guys. Life isn’t all roses, but the practice puts all the problems where they belong and you where you belong- on your mat. Enjoy and let me know how you liked the workout.
